164 / BLACK FRIDAY ‘09 SCORES: THE SWACKET & LOUISE GOLDIN FOR TOPSHOP

Hey everyone, I know posting has been slow but bear with me! Things should return to schedule by the end of the week! In the meantime, I’d love to know what scores you got from the Black Friday/Cyber Monday craziness! Did anyone take advantage of the Torrid sales? I saw some things but changed my mind about them at the last minute. I did end up getting two things that I’m excited about though!

First up is the Swacket! From San Francisco’s Harput’s Union, comes this versatile sweater jacket combination. Harput’s had a Black Friday sale where they were selling 100 swackets for $100. Now being as though, they usually run around $400, I figured it was worth the deal! With the four set of snaps, the swacket can be worn in numerous ways (as shown below).

Amazing, right?

The other exciting purchase I made was a Louise Goldin for Topshop knit dress. I was initially introduced to Louise’s work through Style Bubble some time ago and fell in love with the clothes.

Need I say more? Breathtaking!

So when I saw her collaboration with Topshop, I knew I had to get a piece or two from it! I settled on this mesh/knit dress and I can’t wait for its arrival.

I got the size 12 because I can tell that its made of a stretch knit material. It probably won’t be dress length on me but it will most likely be worn as a cute sweater/tunic.

I also picked up this bunny ears headband which is a nice alternative to the bunny ears seen on fall 2009 Louis Vuitton runway and seen on Madonna.
